The Geo3dat database, which we open to the geological community, aims to present all the K-Ar dating that we have done since 1972, first at the University of Orsay, then since 1982 at the University of Brest. These ages are accompanied by geological, geochemical and petrological data.
A significant portion of these results was presented in over 200 publications, some sixty theses and dissertations. Links to publications are managed. There are still unpublished results ; we hope that the contents of the database will meet the expectations of geologists who have agreed in the past to work with us in these national and international collaborations that have brought so many diverse geographical, geological and thematic to our scientific action.
Nearly 5,000 records will be available which will relate to samples taken in France, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, around the Mediterranean: Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Albania, Greece, Lebanon, Africa: Cameroon, Zaire, Kenya, Greenland, North America: United States, Canada, Mexico, Lesser Antilles, Greater Antilles, Central American isthmus: Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, South America: Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, in Polynesia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, and Asia: Turkey, Iran, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Burma, India.
